Played big band tonight... that was fun. I played a rocking blues solo... was quite happy with that. Given it was 2 choruses of 12 bar blues... bah. Tommy was there too... I miss his playing so much. He only had the solo right after mine, didn't really have time to put out a lot of stuff. I get the impression he's really worn down by work too. Hopefully he can get back to school soon. Granted he might not be a music major but at least he'll be ride again in jazz band. Man that'd rock... if he can straighten out.

Other than that today was pretty uneventful. I really don't like what playing trumpet is doing to my embouchure. Horn will be tough, too. After that though I'll be fine. It'll be nice to have more adaptable chops anyway. That and I just need to play trumpet as little as humanly possible. Same with horn. I know that stuff already, at least well enough to pass a skills playing test. Meh.

Talked to Lori tonight, too. She's doing ok I suppose but still sounds unhappy with her decision. I think if she just sticks with something fora while it'll be better. She mentioned I tell her the exact same things her parents do... perhaps I'm wiser than I thought. Haha.

Anyway I need to get to BED... no more skippig strings!
